Our first triathlon of the year was the Blackrock Sprint run in perfect conditions with great support from Setanta members and the local Gardai.

The race itself was led from start to finish by Matthieu Proffit. Second home was Liam Giggins and Mike Millar third. In the ladies it was a tight affair with Amelie Roland taking the win by 31 seconds followed by Setanta’s Shauna Hogan in second and Cheryl Cardwell in third. The home club also performed well with age group wins by Audrius Gaudutis, Gerry Kenny and Caylan Shewchuk.
